Moon Bureau is a dynamic team of artists dedicated to creating innovative, boundary-pushing works across a variety of mediums. With a diverse portfolio that includes plays, musicals, short films, interactive performances, and digital theatre, Moon Bureau thrives on blending creative storytelling with experimentation, crafting bold and thought-provoking works that challenge traditional artistic forms.

Moon Bureau launched in 2017 with the premiere of their first work, detention, at The Depot Theatre. More recently, the team has collaborated with bAKEHOUSE Theatre Co. for the premiere of WALLY by Nick Vagne, which debuted at KXT on Broadway in 2025, and toured their newly devised musical Hemlines nationally and internationally.

Other notable projects include the premiere of their film Pieces of You at Short Shorts & Asia in Tokyo, Japan, where it won Best Short Film and the prestigious Tokyo Governor’s Award. Additionally, the company developed and toured the award-winning one-woman show Next Step, produced Two Quarters Full (Flight Path Theatre), and presented Good Talk at both the Adelaide Fringe Festival and Anywhere Festival in Brisbane. Their devised ensemble work Illuminated also toured to Sydney, Adelaide, and Darwin Fringe Festivals. In addition to their performance work, they are the producers of the Changing International Film Festival and QueerWrites.

With a commitment to exploring new artistic horizons and a focus on inclusive, experimental work, Moon Bureau continues to evolve as a powerhouse of contemporary theatre and film production.
